Childrens Workshops

The aims of all workshops is to explore each individual's creativity. Company members are trained in Drama Therapy and as teachers. Workshops form an essential part of the work of Jactito and they regularly produce workshops for both schools and art venues. Workshops for disadvantaged children and for sick children in hospital are also in the repertoire.

PUPPET MAKING - These workshops are designed to develop the children's making skills and in this workshop children also learn how to bring the puppet to life.

MASK MAKING - The masks can be worn or held. It is as much about finding a character as the making of the mask and the "mask to be" is discussed with the participant. The child guides the way with gentle direction from the workshop leaders. The finished product is often remarkably elaborate and colourful.
